More detail on this person: Mr Jessie Willard Watson Jr, 63 Obituaries Fayetteville Observer, The (NC) - Tuesday, June 6, 2000 Jessie Willard Watson Jr., 63, of 117 Bryce Creek Lane, Fayetteville, died Sunday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. Watson was in the military for 17 years, serving as a major. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Bronze Star with valor. Mr. Watson was the owner and operator of Safe Haven Protective Systems for 20 years. He was a founding member and past president of the N.C. Alarm Systems Association. Mr. Watson was a member of the Fayetteville Rotary Club, Haymount United Methodist Church and was a past president of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Haymount United Methodist Church by Dr. Brian Gentle and the Rev. Bob Poulk. Burial with military honors will be in LaFayette Memorial Park. Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Watson of the home; two daughters, Linda W. Ross of Fort Bragg and Jessica V. Watson of Hagerstown, Md.; a brother, H. Ray Watson of Gloucester, Va.; and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hubert Willis Scholarship or to the Camp Rockfish Fund, care of Haymount United Methodist Church, 1700 Fort Bragg Road, Fayetteville, N.C. 28303.
