More detail on this person: Mr Frank Derrell Welch, 56 Deaths Texarkana Gazette (TX) - Friday, July 5, 2002 Frank Derrell Welch, 56, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, in a local hospital. Mr. Welch was born April 19, 1946, in Jefferson, Texas. He was the owner of Texarkana Millwork, a member of First Baptist Church, Moores Lane, and a Vietnam War Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Todd Welch. Survivors include his wife, Karen Ayers Welch of Texarkana; two sons, Tommy Welch of Texarkana and Travis Welch of Amsterdam; one daughter, Toni Welch of Dallas; one brother, Purvis Welch of Garland, Texas; seven sisters, Sally Stevenson and Gay Welch of Garland, Sammie Nelsen of Greenville, Texas, Norma Faye Goode of Canton, Texas, Rosemary Borden of Avinger, Texas, Joy Hocker of Longview, Texas, and Willo Jean Rush of Plano, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Texarkana Funeral Home Fuqua-Everett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Larry Sims officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Avinger Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4150 McKnight Road, Texarkana, Texas, 75503. The family will be at no. 2 Valley View Circle, Texarkana.
