More detail on this person: Ronald John Wemhoff Ronald John Wemhoff, a Cottonwood native, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, at his home in Tacoma. He was 58. Ron was born to Cletus and Agnes Wemhoff Feb. 21, 1946, at St. Mary's Hospital in Cottonwood. He grew up on the family farm and went to school at St. Joseph's and St. Gertrude's Academy. He obtained a degree in animal husbandry from the University of Idaho in Moscow. Ron was a helicopter pilot in the Army and served in Vietnam. Then he worked in real estate in Tacoma for a while before starting his own business, Park 52 Realty. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2001, he cut back but still kept in touch with the business. Ron had a very positive outlook on life. He liked to go boating and fishing. When he could not work full time anymore, he determined to "take a vacation every month," getting the very most out of the life he had left. Ron is survived by his fiancee, Linda Miemuth of Tacoma; his daughter, Stacy Booth, and grandsons Alex and Nickolas of Norfolk, Va.; his mother, Agnes Wemhoff of Cottonwood; brothers Larry and Norma Wemhoff of Kamiah and Ed and Miki Wemhoff of Cottonwood; his sisters, Sister Placida Wemhoff of Cottonwood, Lois and John Sonnen of Lewiston, Joan and Marv Hall of Grangeville and Mary and John O'Kief of Sequim, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Cletus Wemhoff, and two sisters, Betty Savage and Kathy Wemhoff. Funeral Mass for Ron will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Church in Cottonwood. He will be buried Saturday in Tacoma. Lewiston Tribune August 10, 2004
