FYI, following taken from local Griffin, Georgia Paper this morning. I did not know him, but I suspect more than few Army Aviators do.

LTC Walters aged 70 died in Griffin, GA Jan 4, 2001. Wife: Gisela Kathryn Meth Walters of Germany. Retired after 23 years, one Tour Korea and two RVN. In Vietnam commanded Aviation Outfit, called the Bird Dog Company. Was ex-Special Forces Member.

Worked for FAA in Hampton, GA 15 years, also for 8 years was Instructor and Examiner at Bear Creek Airport in Hampton, GA, now called Tara Field, home of the AAHF.
