More detail on this person: Bennie F. "Ben" Young age 69 born 8/2/1935 died 10/11/2004 in Jupiter, FL from Complications from Alzheimers.

Major, USA (Retired), 3 Tours Vietnam, Silver Star, 4 Distinguished Flying Cross, 2 Bronze Stars, 2 Purple Hearts.

Survived by his wife, Patricia, daughter Lisa Young, 4 Sons, Scott, Keith, Kyle & Mark, and by 11 grandchildren.

His time in the army, and especially in aviation, defined who Ben understood himself to be. Those times were some of the best times of his life and were a great source of pride to him and to his family. He loved his country. We will miss him. I share the loss with his son, Mark Young, my pastor, who also served our country honorably as a U.S. Army Aviation helicopter crew chief. Ben is now, once again, "Above the Best".
