More detail on this person: I collect militaria and had purchased an officers Class A uniform named to CWO Yockey. I have additional information on him now thanks to your page and the National Arhieves. CWO4 Yockey served two tours in Vietnam primarily with 1st Air Cav. He was with 202nd Asslt Hel. 228th Av Bn. in 65-66. And in 68-69 he went back to Nam to again be with 228th Av. Bn. as well as 223rd Av. Bn and 17th Av. Grp. Of note in his service were enlistment in 1946, Korean War Service with 5 Campaign Stars, 5 Air Medal Awards, Purple Heart, and Bronze Star with OLC as well. He was retired in 1969. Just thought I would pass this information along in case you wanted to update his record. Thanks for the information that you have helped me recover. I am thankful to be able to preserve the history of a great veteran.
