More detail on this person: I haven't seen Bernie since I left Vietnam. We talked on the phone about once a year. Bernies call sign was SILVER 11 when he flew OH-13 scouts for the 2 BDE. The BDE consisted of 1/5,2/5, and 2/12 battalions. Bernie was a W-1 and he became the BDE commender, Col. Karohs, personal pilot. He later took a direct commission to 1st LT. He left the army and finished college. He worked in sales and management for various companies.

survivors: Bernies wife, Marguerite, called me in Sept. 2010 about his death. I know he had 2 children and stayed married to Marguerite since 1969. Sorry I don't know more details about Bernies life.

other: He was a good comrade and I loved him like a brother when we served in Vietnam. I wish I had known him better.
