ZUVELA, Jr. passed away Saturday, September
29th, 2007 at Veterans Hospital in Seattle. Born
January 25,1945 - in his youth, George was an avid
participant in almost all sports. He graduated
from Chief Sealth High School, class of 1963,
where he excelled in baseball and football. He
continued to play sports, including golf,
throughout the rest of his life. He served his
country in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. Upon his
return he repaired cars in his own shop "George's
Autobody". He is survived by his wife, Carol, his
son Mark (Tammy), daughter Clare Burleson
(David), son Bill, daughter Susan, grandchildren
Jorja and Jake Burleson, two sisters Evelyn Nolte
and Millie DeMarre of Lake Tapps and many
extended family and friends. He is preceded in
death by his parents, George and Evelyn Zuvela and
his sister, Jennie Palmer. Funeral Services will
be held on Friday, October 5, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Burien,
WA. A Graveside Service will follow at Forest Lawn
Cemetery in West Seattle. The family would like to
invite friends, family and guests back to the
church after the graveside service for a reception
gathering. We would like to thank the physicians,
nurses and staff at the VA hospital for the
excellent, compassionate care with which they
treated George. Contributions can be made to the
Voluntary Services VA PSHCS, 1660 Columbian
Way, Seattle, WA 98108 or Vietnam Helicopter
Pilots Assoc. Scholarship Fund.
