More detail on this person: Colonel Bob Zitnik died in Parker, CO, on Feb 6, 2007. He was 85. Colonel Zitnik was Commanding Officer of VMO-6. He brought it to Ky Ha in 1965 and commanded it until the spring of 1966. He served as MAG-36 S-3 until late that summer. Colonel Zitnik served in the Corps for 33 years before retiring in 1974. He was born in Berwyn, Illinois, and was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Catherine. He is survived by his sister Marian Pezzullo, his son Robert Jr., and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Submitted by Ed Alexander.
