Additional information about this casualty:
While on a resupply mission for 1 CAV units in the mountains west of Bong Son during operation MASHER, the weather forced the crew to hover up valleys and the sides of hills to get to the ground units. MAJ Johnson was hit in the head by enemy small arms fire and died.
