Both mission and flight capability were terminated.

War Story:
Based on KIA information supplied to the VHPA, we know that these two men died near Long An in the same UH-1D while serving for the 498th Med Co. The helicopter damage and loss record seems to match the conditions described for these KIAs; therefore the linkage was established. The VHPA is very interested in learning more details about this event.
