War Story:
I was flying with the BLUES (Aero-Rifle Platoon) that day. His A/C was flying near
what we called "The Cresent", NW of LZ Uplift, when it just exploded. He was
the only one killed. The pilot of the Scout was the same pilot who was with
SP4 GARRETT when he died.
SSG Pilk received the Silver Star for his actions on 5/5/70. See OH-6A 67-16554.
