OB SFC PILK ROBERT HARRISON KIA

War Story:
I was flying with the BLUES (Aero-Rifle Platoon) that day. His A/C was flying near what we called "The Cresent", NW of LZ Uplift, when it just exploded. He was the only one killed. The pilot of the Scout was the same pilot who was with SP4 GARRETT when he died. SSG Pilk received the Silver Star for his actions on 5/5/70. See OH-6A 67-16554. From: Peter A. Kacerguis, December 1996.
