Accident Summary:

The victim motioned to the pilot to stop taxi. At this time he was in front of the aircraft. The pilot set the aircraft down and the victim disappeared behind the aircraft. The victim walked into the tail rotor (the aircraft was equipped with the tractor tail rotor). The crew chief from a nearby aircraft motioned for the pilot to shutdown. Until this time the pilot was unaware of the tail rotor strike. The victim is in critical condition at this time.
