Description: A patrol of Company D, 3d Recon Battalion accompanied by 38 ARVN troops encountered a VC force of approximately 105 men near Binh Thai, nine miles southwest of Da Nang. A company of the 1/3 Marines fwas helilifted into the area to reinforce. They pursued the enemy to the south and west but lost contact. Results 1 VC KIA, 1 USMC WIA.
