Description: The 173d ABN conducted its first brigade sized operation in Vietnam. Its two battalions and supported elements conducted a series of airmobile assaults near Bien Hoa. The Sky Soldiers killed 7 VC and destroyed numerous bunkers and supply caches, but were unable to corner the enemy in any significant numbers. The operation greatly contributed to their confidence in eachother and in airmobile techniques.
