Description: The third phase of operation MASHER began with a series of air assaults into the mountains on the eastern side of the An Lao Valley. Two battalions were inserted on the 7th and another on the 9th further to the south. The 2nd Brigade had reinforced the 3rd Brigade, 1st Cav at this point.
