Description: Operation TROY was an effort to trap the remains of the 810th VC Bn mauled in operation NEW YORK before they could cross the Truoi River bridge southeast of Phu Bai. HMM-163 inserted most of a Marine infantry battalion into two zones near the bridge. This force did not make contact with the VC Bn.
