Description: When the operation TEXAS infantry battalions determined that the enemy had withdrawn, MAG-36 helicopters reposition one battalion further to the south in an LZ near Vinh Loc (2) without a problem. The Marine infantry made heavy contact with two enemy battalions that afternoon and the fighting continued into the night. During the night the enemy withdrew again but local villagers reported that they were forced to help haul over 60 dead to the river while the Marines lost seven KIA and 56 WIA.
