Description: As part of EL PASO II, A/1/4 Cav was moving down Route 13 through Tau-O toward Hon Quan when the 272d VC Regt sprung a massive ambush. With the front and rear elements, the VC charged the vehicles in the middle. Fierce combat raged for four hours until the VC withdrew leaving 93 dead. The 2/18th and 2/2d Inf Bns, 3d Bde, 1st Inf Div were also involved in this battle.
