Description: As part of operation PAUL REVERE IV, the 2d Brigade 1st Cav continued extensive search and destroy sweeps in the Chu Pong and Ia Drang valley areas. Only light contact with the enemy was made but on the morning of the 21st, two platoons made heavy contact south of Duc Co. Despite extensive support, both were overrun and decimated. Only one badly wounded man survived. The 101 C Regt of the 10th NVA Div left nearly 150 dead on the field.
