Operation ENTERPRISE
Long An Province, III Corps, South Vietnam
Description: This long-term, combined operation by the 3d Brigade, 9th Inf Div (3/39th, 2/60th, and the 5/60th Inf Bns) with ARVN, Regional and Popular Forces had the goal to clear the VC from Long An Province. The 25th Inf Div would contributed the 2/14th Inf and eventually the 199th LIB would commit the 2/3d, 3/7th and the 4/12th Inf Bns. Their primary foe was the 506th VC Bn. The operation claimed 2,107 known enemy casualties versus 74 US KIA and 380 WIA.
