Operation CORONADO I
Long An Province, III Corps, South Vietnam
Location, Can Giuoc
Description: As part of CORONADO I, the Mobile Riverine Force, 9th Inf Div and TF 117 conducted their fourth operation in the southern part of Can Giuoc District. During the preceding thirty days, the MRF had killed 316 VC, taking 15 prisoners, captured 68 weapons, and detained 337 people in this District. This operation was part of a program to strike at different sections until the whole district had been fully covered.
