Operation COCHISE

Location, Que Son
Description: This operation, coordinated with the 2d ARVN Div's operation LIEN KET 112, had four battalions sweep the Hiep Duc region northeast of Que Son for the 21st NVA Regt and the logistics base for the 2d NVA Div. On D-day all four bns were inserted by helicopters. The results are the Marines, 156 NVA KIA and 13 captured versus 10 US KIA and 93 WIA - for the ARVNs, 206 NVA KIA, 12 captured with 42 weapons versus 83 KIA, 174 WIA, and 3 MIA.
