Location, Plei Trap Valley
Description: There were two phases to these Project DELTA reconnaissance missions named SULTAN. They were conducted in the Plei Trap Valley. The teams confirmed that the 32d NVA Regt had moved into the area following the Battle of Dak To. During this phase, Project DELTA put reconnaissance and roadrunner teams along the border to detech enemy movement to the east. The 91st ARVN Ranger Bn provided backup for these teams. There was light contact while valuable data concerning the presence of enemy units was developed.
