Description: The following is an edited version of an article titled "Barely Time To Get Wet."
Da Nang (OI) - Air Force CPT Harold E. Forman, 35, Magnolia, Miss., a member of the 357th Tactical Fighter Sq., was forced to eject from his F105 Thunderchief recently off the North Vietnam coast. Within ten minutes after plunging into the South China Sea, Forman was being lifted by rescue hoist into a Jolly Green Giant helicopter. MAJ Arthur J. Anderson, 36, of Price, Utah, was the pilot of the Da Nang based 37th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Sq. copter that rescued him. SGT Angus V. McDougal, 23, of Arlington Heights, Ill., lowered the rescue sling to Forman and within two minute had him in the aircraft and on his way to Da Nang.
