Description: A/7/17 Cav reported their Guns fired on 5 NVA in a bunker and killed three. While checking the area, the Scouts received intense AW fire. One LOH was destroyed, killing one crew member, SP4 Dale S. Puishis, and wounding two others. During this action the C&C ship received fire wounding the CO. The following two weeks were marked by finding evidence of enemy activity, but not contact was made. The Honor Roll section of the unit history states that SP4 Puishis' OH-6A went down at ZA072512 and that it crashed and burned on impact, killing him.
