Description: B/7/17 Cav reported that they considered their Pre-TET operation "on the job" training for the days that followed. Operating out of Camp Enair on a daily basis, the Troop used staging areas at Plei Djrang, Polei Klang, Kontum, Dak To, Dak Pek, the Oasis, Ban Me Though, Ben Hep and An Khe for daily operations. They flew in support of the 173d ABN, the 1st, 2d, and 3d Bdes of the 4th Inf Div., various Special Forces units, Long Range Recon Patrols and unites of the 101st ABN. They accounted for 37 VC and NVA KIA's, 26 enemy captured, 2 AK-47's, 1 SKS, 1 7.62 ChiCom pistol, 5 tons of rice recovered or destroyed, and the capture of over 100 documents.
