Description: The monthly command chronology consists of 8 pages of historical information and was submitted on 16 Feb. Durning this period MAG-36 was made up of H&MS-36, MABS-36, HMM-164, HMM-165, HMM-362, HMM-364 and VMO-3 all were based at Phu Bai. It names the individual staff officers and commanders. It lists average troop strength for each unit, names the important visitors to the command, the operations supported, provides a statisical summary of their operational activities and enemy action that effected the MAG. This particular report was especially brief and lacking in details when compared to other MAG reports for this era. The statisical report included MAG-36 DET ALPHA, which was being established at Quang Tri and would become PMAG-39. Under air operations: flight hours 6,941.9, sorties 17,980, passengers 22,626, cargo tons 1,807.3, casualties evacuated 2,277. Under intelligence: incidents 189, aircraft hit 60, total hits received 584. Under base development at Phu Bai, good progress continued during the month. Most of a 90,000 SY parking apron was covered with matting and put into immediate use. A squadron operations building complex was occupied by HMM-364 in their move from the south side of the field. Construciton of the 2,500 man mess hall was completed with wiring and plumbing installations continuing. Six two story barracks, the IMA hanger, and several support facilities were completed.
