Description: A SEAL Team One platoon teamed with HA(L)-3 gunships to work against an enemy force that fired on a riverine patrol. The reaction force was launched into the area and engaged the enmy in a three-hour firefight on May Island in the middle of the Bassac River. The riverboats, gunships, and SEALs accounted for 27 VC KIAs.
