Description: A/7/17 Cav reported their Scouts were reconnoitering around a fresh trail when they notiaced an NVA soldier hiding in a foxhole. Firing into the area, they confirmed 7 NVA KIA's. The Troop received a change of mission to check out another area. When they returned to the contact site, four of the bodies had been removed and the others stripped of their equipment; indicating the presence of a larger force. Further contact was not made.
