Description: The following is an edited version from the weekly Vietnam Communique column in the 25 May 1968 issue.
Air and ground units of the 1st Inf Div killed 42 VC and found the bodies of 36 others during scattered engagement in their Toan Thang operational area. Helicopter light fire teams from D/1/4th Cav reported killing 15 enemy soldiers in three separate skirmishes while patrolling an area 10 miles southeast of Lai Khe. Other Big Red One soldiers brought the days total to 42 enemy killed.
