for 155 AHC

For date 680628

155 AHC was a US Army unit
Primary service involved, US Army
Darlac Province, II Corps, South Vietnam
Location, Camp Coryell
Description: The 155th Aviation Company unit history states that their compound received a 75mm recoiles rifle attach at 0010 consisting of 15 rounds. It resulted in two aircraft being moderately damaged. Since the 15th, the 155th had been sending aloft a flare ship with a .50 caliber machine gun at various times each night; the enemy attacks are slowed down. The enemy changed tactics as this attack was conducted from a school yard on the edge of the city which prevented the flar ship from returning effective fire.
