Description: A/7/17 Cav reported their Scouts were burning four hootches in a base area when they noticed an NVA soldier observing them from a tree. After killing him, the Scouts called for the Blues to be inserted. However, reconnoitering the LZ, they discovered that the NVA had it surrounded. Two air strikes were put in and then the Blues were inserted. After killing one sniper, the Blues were extracted due to heavy enemy movement in the area.
