Location, Camp Coryell
Description: The 155th Aviation Company unit history states that at 0245H Camp Coryell was hit again with 122mm rockets. A total of 20 fell on or near the compond. Three enlisted from the 185th Recon Airplane Company and two from the 70th Engineers were wounded slightly and returned to duty. Two UH-1Cs and two UH-1Hs of the 4th Inf Div received minor damage. One GP medium tent wasd destroyed. The summary section of the history states that during this month they gave the majority of their support to the Special Forces units. They conducted 17 platoon sized CAs in support of the 22d and 23d ARVN Divisions. Over 30 APD missions were flown in the Ban Me Thuot and Duc Lap areas to help locate several enemy base camps. Their gunships were called out on 21 different occasions to support both U.S. and ARVN troops in contact. In addition to local support, they accomplished major lifts in Qui Nhon and Cheo Reo.
