Description: The following is an edited version from the weekly Vietnam Communique column in the 21 Sep 1968 issue.
Soldiers of the 199th LIB met little resistance in a week of light action. Reconnaissance helicopter crews led soldiers of the 199th LIB to a large bunker complex three miles south of Duc Hoa. Elements of the 4/12th Inf moved to the area and destroyed 67 bunkers, which were arranged along the banks of a canal.
