A/7/17 CAV losses were 1 KIA
Description: A/7/17 Cav reported while enroute to the AO, their Scouts spotted approximately 8 men traveling along a trail. The men took cover when the helicopters flew past. After determining that this was an enemy force, the Scouts took them under fire and the Guns fired. When the Scouts returned, they engaged the enemy again and one observer, SP4 Noe Tameyoza, was killed. Air strikes were called in before an infantry unit moved in. They captured 10 rolls of rice, 6 bags of rice, 1 AK-50, 20 grenades, 4 82mm mortar rounds and 25 packs. A Troop was credited with 8 NVA KIA's.
