Description: B/7/17 Cav's aircraft were in the AO at 0545 providing flank security for the reinforced Blues inserted the day before. The infantry began moving at 0610 and by 0730 had located another cache. While one squad was examining the cave, the remaining elements came under heavy AW fire. One of the squads quickly flanked the AW position, killed 5 VC, and destroyed the bunker. The second cache revealed 40 20 pound demo charges, 1 blacksmith's forge and one 30 cal bullet mold. The sweep was completed and the ground force extracted at 1730.
