Description: The 361st AWC reported while supporting MACV SOG CCC missions from the FOB II base their Cobras supported recon teams in heavy contact with a battalion size force supported by AA companies. Braving intense ground fire on close in attacks, the Panthers contributed to many enemy kills and the rescue of the teams, thus bring the mission to a successful close. There were a high number of awards and decorations for valorous acts performed on this mission.
