Description: The following is an edited version of an article titled "GEN Haines Visit 11th Inf. Bde."
LZ BRONCO - GEN E. Haines, commander-in-chief of U.S. Army Pacific, visited the 11th Inf. Bde. late last month while on an inspection tour of Vietnam. This was the new USARPAC commander's first trip here since assuming responsibility in July for the Army's largest specified command. GEN Haines flew from the 173rd Abn Bde. at LZ English in II Corps to the "Jungle Warriors" base camp here. He was hosted by Americal Div Commander MG Charles M. Gettys and 11th Bde. Commander COL John W. Donaldson. After a briefing on division operations, the USARPAC commander visited the brigade's newest FSB, LZ Dancer.
