Description: The 7/1st Cav ORLL states: During November, D/7/1st Cav conducted operations in the vicinity of Nui Coto (WS005520) providing security for a FSB at VS900562. While providing security, 106RR crews were deployed on APCs and airboats to maneuver over terrain, impassable to wheeled vehicles, to a position where the 106RR crews could successfully fire directly into the mouths of VC caves on the mountain. The ORLL has a lengthy inclosure with diagrams of how the 106RRs were mounted on the APCs and airboats.
