Description: The 196th Inf Bde helicoptered two more battalions to reinforce the two it already had fighting the NVA southeast of Tien Phouc. The battle continued until the NVA began withdrawing about the 20th. By the 22d only snipers remained and the Americal Div pulled its units from the area.
