Description: SPINDOWN ended when the SOG Hatchet Force was extracted from their hill fortress overlooking Highway 110. This was the first-ever roadblock and it was very successful. The Hatchet Force and USAF destroyed a impressive array of trucks, NVA, and supplies. It also forced the NVA attacking Ben Het to divert attention to its rear, some ammo and units were expended in Laos that could have been applied to Ben Het.
