Description: The 119th unit history states that troop insertions for the 1st Bde 4th Inf Div were made 7 KMs north of LZ HARTIMES. Details about Gator 464, flown by LT Masak are in the HELICOPTER record. Learned procedures of emergency saved WO1 Roushell and his crew as he had lifted off the LZ and was enroute to An Khe when he detected cyclic feedback. Shortly afterwards he experienced a complete loss of his hydraulic system. He executed a running landing at An Khe without further damage or injury to the crew.
