Description: The 119th unit history states that the 4th Inf Div asked the company to remain at An Khe to give them air support during the Tet Celebration. Tension, apprehension and precaution was in the air that day prior. Security was doubled, positions fortified, aircraft guarded, and Tac-E ships and crews were on nightly stand-by.
Tet was on Feb 5. During the day, the slicks and guns carried out daily missions. To everyone's surprise, nothing happened. The VC may have drunk too much and decided not to give any damage to An Khe. Each day that followed, there were negative resistance with only light sniper fire.
