Description: A/7/17th Cav reported their Scouts began receiving intense fire while on a recon mission. Two observers were wounded and the Guns made runs using rockets and mini-guns. This resulted in the discovery of a very large enemy compound. The results of the mission was complete destruction of all buildings, bunkers, and 4 vehicles. Three vehicles were also destroyed on a different approach to the area. Three VC surrendered under the CHOU HOI program.
