Description: A/7/17th Cav reported was given the mission of inserting a group of Pathfinders northwest of Dak To. The unit had found the remains of 5 downed aircraft. The first was the famous JOLLY GREEN GIANT and the remaining of 4 UH-1C gunships. The Lift were kept busy all day with the Pathfinder team in order that the remains of the ships and their crews could be recovered. The area was infested with enemy troops but the mission was completed with a high degree of professionalism.
