Description: Operation LAM SON 719 begins. The combined operation, involving troops of the ARVN I Corps and the U. S. XXIV Corps, is aimed at eliminating enemy base areas in Tcheopone area of Laos. The operation terminates on 9 April with all friendly units safely withdrawn back into South Vietnam.
