In Quang Tri Province of Military Region 1 on Feb. 12, helicopter gunships of the 101st Airborne Division observed an undetermined-size enemy force while on a visual reconnaissance mission 14 miles northwest of Khe Sanh. The gunships employed onboard ordnance to kill 15 enemy. There were no friendly casualties.
