In Phuoc Long Province of Military Region 3 on the morning of Feb. 15, an element of the 3rd Bde., 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile), while conducting search operations 25 miles northeast of .....? (publishing error). An indirect attack occurred in Military Region 2 when an element of the 2nd Bde., 1st Cav. Div., received fewer than 20 rounds of 60mm mortar fire while in a night defensive position four miles southeast of Xuan Loc in Long Khanh Province on Feb. 15. U.S. casualties were light and there was no materiel damage. In Military Region 3 in Long Khanh Province on the morning of Feb. 21, an element of the 1st Bde. engaged an undetermined-size enemy force 24 miles east-northeast of Rang Rang. Five enemy were killed and five individual weapons captured. There were no friendly casualties.
