Location, Da Nang
Description: Da Nang fell without a struggle. The NVA walked into the city to find planes, tanks, guns, and equipment in serviceable condition left abandoned. Thousand of the civilians and ARVN flew to the coast seeking refuge. Many thousands of these were evacuatged aboard U.S. Navy and Military Sealift Command ships from the northern post cities to havens farther south.
